Former Gershwins Restaurant, Dean Street, Newcastle
We are currently preparing to start the installation of Type C Waterproofing system to the Former Gershwins Restaurant in Newcastle. It’s a very complex project, due to the heavy traffic, which can cause vibration and damage to the waterproofing system. We have to shot blast the vaulted ceilings, apply a two coat waterproof render, waterproof K11, then a tiered membrane system with each plug injected with epoxy resin. Sounds complicated… it is! But it’s the type of work our technicians love.
Gosforth Marriott Hotel –
Earlier this year we worked on a project at Gosforth Marriott Hotel. The spa area is split level, with one side below ground. The changing area, sauna and steam room were removed. We applied a Type C waterproofing system to these areas, and the spa area was reinstated.
We are currently in a 3 year contract with North Star, a Housing Association in Teesside, who’s structure includes Teesdale Housing, Endeavour Housing, and Darlington Housing Association.
We carry out all of their damp works and have so far worked on nearly 200 of their properties, with more to come.
North Star have been a pleasure to work with and we have developed a strong relationship with them. We recently donated towards their community fund to help local charities, and Neil Marsden had the pleasure of speaking at their 2016 tenant event at the Riverside Football Stadium in Middlesbrough.
We have also had the opportunity to supply training to their staff who have always been keen to learn and develop their knowledge of damp issues.
